Finally got around to doing something on Facebook after an old friend/lover said a bunch of our old buddies were there. I have not seen many of these people since the late 80′s, early 90′s. I met most of them about 1985 in Phoenix, AZ, after going out with her for a few months. She had many artistic friends, writers, performers, artists, etc. At the time I was finishing up an old relationship and should have died in a head-on collision where I wasn’t wearing any seat belts. I figured if they could do this, so could I. I will go into the reason I bring this up later in this posting.

The car wreck changed my life in many ways, and one was fashion, and in pursuing my goal of opening a few hair salons (I was a licensed cosmetologist at the time working in Scottsdale). I started painting and drawing, which lead to one of my first paintings being sold in a group show at a local gallery; an artist was born. I went on to dabble in many areas of written and verbal art, and there were plenty of other people in Phoenix doing the same thing, and it was quite the thriving art community before the yuppification of downtown Phoenix.

I contacted a few old friends I saw on her guest book, good friends, a couple photographers and a musician. One of the photographers was a different gal, who I know well, who is very academic, and I believe even works in the Tempe, AZ university system. I see some of the groups she has joined, and I know right away there will be trouble. It appears she is a hard-core Democrat. While I won’t hold that against her, I see stuff like:

1,000,000 Women Against Sara Palin, Barrack Obama (1 Million Strong), I have more Foreign Policy Experience than Sarah Palin, etc. I am scared to click on any of those links because I don’t have anything against Sara Palin. And I really don’t like any of Obama’s policies; actually, he is so far left, there is no one lefter, other than Stalin & Mosillini. Mostly because I am a lifelong Libertarian who switched to Republican because of Ron Paul.

To be frank, everything Obama wants to do is repugnent to the Constitution, and if he was suggesting giving trillions in taxes away and even growing the Government so much larger than it already is, he would have been shot for Treason by the Revolutionalry Army with Benedict Arnold. After reading a lot of their writings, I am sure most politicians since FDR would have been shot for treason if they suggested growing OUR Government to such distorted and twisted obscene levels that it has become. Look online for the writings of the founding fathers; it’s nothing like the crap Obama spews.

So I know I’ll have some interesting discussions with her.

Anyway, the who purpose of this posting is because it occurred to me why of all the actors are now speaking out in droves in favor of Obama, and this gal helped me tied it all together. Most artists are liberal democrats because they get grants, and money, just like the welfare people. Republicans threaten their handouts and that somehow has to tie together Pamela Anderson & Matt Damon’s recent comments that they can’t stand Sara Palin. They have no idea of anything other than voting democrat so they can get their money and grants.

When I was doing performance art, I never applied for a grant. I was more influenced by the Dadaist’s than the Socialists…
