Female Realtors: Easy Pickings For Ex-Cons & Rapists

Posted By admin

Great article over in the Real Estate articles on the technologynetwork.com website. It talks about a female realtor in the Bay Area that was attacked and raped by an ex-con at a walk-through of an empty home. After he raped her, she was able to get him to stop strangling her and started talking to him.

He said he was out of work, and could not find a job. She said she knew of someone who could get him a job. He left and called her later to set up for that job interview.

She set it up alright, and when he come over, the Police were present to arrest the S.O.B.

It then talks about the different things you can do to protect yourself while doing a walk-through, here are two of the 9 free tips.

There are several things agents can do to protect themselves:

* Have a prospective buyer meet you in your office, NOT AT THE PROPERTY, preferably with co-workers present and NOT near closing time. Obtain identification from the buyer in the form of a drivers license and their vehicle license number. Leave this information with a responsible person in your office and advise them where you are going.

* If possible, have someone go with you to the showing and have them wait in the car with a cell phone. The best scenario is to go to the showing in two different cars, but if this is not possible, try to be the driver. This will give you somewhat of an advantage.

They then mention you should have self defense products just in case. Some of the options you have besides packing a .38 special are:

Pepper Sprays: Hidden in a number of items like lipstick pepper spray, or a pen pepper spray. Good for use 5-15 feed from the attacker.

Stun Guns: Finish off anyone with a stun gun. 3-10 seconds will drop the punk, giving you time to get out. They have to be next to you, as it only works when you touch it to their torso or hips. A cell phone stun gun will allow you to have it in your hand, and they will have no idea you can take them down if they act up.

TASER C2: The Taser C2 has unparalled stopping power. You only get one shot, and it’s good for up to 15 feet. After that, take the cartridge out, and it’s a Taser stun gun, which you will need to touch it to the attackers torso for it to work.

Ladies, and especially Realtors, or people who have to meet up with someone by yourself, you will find some great tips on how to provent being a victim in the article, and make sure you have something to protect you in case the prospective client gets different ideas. Visit our website and stock up on all your self defense needs.

As always, we will include a Free Pepper Spray with any Stun Gun, and free holster or stun gun with every TASER C2.

The Defense Of Self Defense

Posted By admin

Over in Rifle, Co (great name for a town), two men were recently aquitted for resisting arrest. Their defense was self defense. Seems an over zealous police officer confused the two with a reported fight across the street. When the men wanted nothing to do with the officer and just tried to walk away (sound familiar?), the officer shot the guy in the back with a Taser.

RIFLE – Watching his nephew getting Tased in the back by police, Brett Smith got upset.

Upset enough that he swiped at the TASER® wires to pull out the barbs lodged in the skin of Travis Dice’s back.

“I admit maybe I shouldn’t have done that, but there was no reason for it,” Smith said Thursday of the officers’ actions. “They just started Tasing and asking questions later, more or less.”

Smith was Tased. Dice was Tased a second time in the back. The men were arrested.

Fast forward from that Aug. 15, 2004 incident; a jury in Rifle Municipal Court acquitted Dice of obstructing a peace officer and his uncle, Brett Smith, of resisting arrest.

In defense of self-defense

A 9th Judicial District Court judge last week upheld a 2005 municipal court finding during the trial that part of Rifle’s municipal code defining self-defense violated the Colorado and U.S. constitutions. Rifle had appealed some of the municipal judge’s findings.

You can read the rest of the story with the link above. We have to say, congratulations to a sane jury in Rifle that aquitted the men. It seems no matter where you go, if you ever try to walk away from a law enforcement officer, you will regret it.

Why is that? Why are law enforcement personal so quick to use a TASER® device on someone instead of try other non-lethal methods? You don’t think it would have anythign to do with law enforcement lowering their standards of the people they hire to enforce the zillions of laws that are suffocating our freedoms?

What if we used a TASER® device on an out of control Cop? Do we have that right? Now we do and I like that idea, don’t you?

Advanced Taser M18L

So spread the word that self defnese from agressive, over zealous law enforcement thugs is a valid defense, at least in Rifle, Colorado.

Pick up your Taser on our site; we offer both, the M18 Advanced Taser and the TASER C2. We offer a free gift on both Tasers when you order from our online store.

Don’t Try To Defend Yourself In Houston

Posted By admin

A sad story about a man who was defending his family against his neighbors violent pit bulls. A man in Houston saw the pit bulls preventing his daughter and grand child from getting out of their car when they came to visit him. He was concerned when his grand daughter was playing in the front, with such wild dogs behind a flimsy neighbors fence.

I though they just passed the “Make My Day” law in Texas, where you can take down punks who are a danger to you. Guess the Cops in Houston have not heard about that yet.

Well, he tried to shoot the dogs with his pistol and missed (I suggest he needs some target practice also). Then he got smart and grabbed his shot gun, and tried to get the neighbors to tie up the dog(s). When it started after him (?), he let the pooch have it.

Shot guns don’t miss, though the HPD arrested the poor man and charged him with animal cruelty! He spend 5 days in jail until his family could round up the bail. This is not right and I thought in Texas of all places, they would just let the guy go. If you are pissed off about this, call the Houston Police Non Emergency number: (713) 884-3131. The City Attorney’s criminal law number is: 713.247.5474. Let them know what they are doing to this man stinks.

There are plenty of non-lethal options on the market to take care of dogs that won’t result in your arrest. We will list them here, in order of relevance & distance (Works well on humans also):

Avurt SWAT-C8 Pava Launcher; Semi-Automatic Launcher Shoot 8 scorching hot PAVA power balls at the dog(s) up to 70 feet.

Avurt IM-5 Pava Launcher; Semi-Automatic Launcher Shoots 5 PAVA power balls at the dog(s) up to 40 feet.

Mace Pepper Gun; Looks like a flare gun, and shoots 7 shots of burning hot Mace pepper spray up to 25 feet.

M18 Advanced Taser or TASER C2; Shoots electrified darts up to 15 feet & will stop anything.

Mace Pepper GelMace Pepper Foam; Same great Mace pepper spray, in gel form, sprays up to 18 feet and sticks like glue.

High Frequency Dog Repeller; Interesting little item that emits high frequencies that drive dogs crazy, works up to 40 feet.

Pepper Sprays; Work 7-10 feet and will bring on the pain!

Telescopic Stun Batons; – Stun Batons; Long batons that will keep anything at bay, with a maximum distance of 21 inches.

Stun Guns; While a stun gun will take down a dog who has it’s jaws gripped around your dog or child, just the sound of the crackle of a stun usually puts the fear of God into a dog & they will run.

Whew! That’s a lot of non-lethal options for you to handle a dog or some punk who wants your property or your life. This way, you don’t have to worry about the Cops arresting you for trying to defend yourself.

Defend Thyself, because it’s a cruel world!

Look Out TASER C2, You Have Competition!

Posted By admin

We just found the Avurt IM-5 Launcher, which we have to say is the most incredible self defense product on the market today. The Avurt IM-5 hurls PAVA power balls out of a small launcher that is about the size of the TASER C2. It holds 5 of these balls and can shoot them semi-automatically up to 40 feet away; try that with a Taser!

These Pava balls exploade on impact and they send up a powder that is 4x as hot as pepper spray! You can take out a whole gang of punks with one launcher. Nothing on the market gives you this much non-lethal firepower in such a tiny item.

It’s about the size of a fat flashlight and has a handle that folds down that turns on the laser assisted sight. Put the laser where you want it, and pull the trigger. A C02 cartridge will pop, sending the PAVA ball screaming at your attacker.

With the Avurt IM-5, you keep your distance and safety, and deter crime four ways. Just seeing the laser in their face should stop some attackers. The bang from the gun is another deterrent, and when the PAVA balls hit, they sting and leave a welt. Then they have to breath the broiling hot dust.

Puff, and he breathes the hot PAVA power. His eyes swell shut and his skin burns. He gasps for breath and you run away, since he is 40 feet away!

This is incredible because all your other choices have a much shorter effective range:

Stun Guns: Arms reach – 2-3 feet
Pepper Sprays: 7-15 feet
TASER C2: 12-15 feet

If you are looking for a self defense product that is non-lethal, packs a massive punch, and is safe for you, you can find out more information about how to pre-order the Avurt IM-5 on our website, and get a free pack of PAVA balls..

Make My Day, Punk

Posted By admin

From the Miami News-Record of November 2, 2007
Man cleared in shooting

Oklahoma’s “Make My Day” law was the deciding factor in the fate of a Colcord man who fatally shot a 17-year-old this summer, according to District Attorney Eddie Wyant.

(Note, it’s good to see that self-defense is still a viable option in some parts of the country…)

Jack Doughty, 62, stood accused of shooting David Gudde in the early morning hours of July 1.

According to police reports, Doughty operated a fireworks stand out of his Delaware County home in June and early July. Doughty told authorities that he was awakened around 4 a.m. on July 1, by what he believed to be intruders.

Gudde and 18-year-old Lance Stick were reportedly in Doughty’s home and were opening an inside door when Doughty fired a shot in the direction of the door with a .22 caliber rifle.

Doughty told investigators that he chased the intruders as they ran outside, firing two more shots to “alert neighbors”.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Gudde lying on the ground outside Doughty’s home.

An Oklahoma law passed in 1988, protects residents from being prosecuted for using deadly force against suspected threats to themselves in their homes and on their properties.

After investigating the incident, Wyant said he will not file charges against Doughty because is actions were in accordance to the “Make My Day” law.

“With the number of residential burglaries, I am really surprised more people don’t get shot for breaking into people’s houses with this law on the book,” Wyant said. “I hope people realize the risk they put themselves into when they unlawfully enter someone’s house.”

Stick was charged July 30, with first-degree burglary and is currently in Delaware County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

Last year, legislators passed a law in accordance with the “Make My Day” law. The “Stand My Ground” law protects people from prosecution if they use deadly force in other locations, such as their vehicle, when they reasonably feel their life is in danger.

Now if the rest of the country would adopt such laws. Until then, use whatever force is necessary, be it pepper spray, stun gun, TASER C2, SWAT-C8 Pava launcher, or a gun.

What is the TASER C2?

Posted By admin

The TASER C2 is the next generation, personal protection device from Taser International. The TASER C2 is a TASER® device that is smooth, ergonomic, and consumer designed self defense product. The TASER C2 comes in a variety of colors for men & women; Black Pearl, Titanium Silver, Electric Blue, and Metallic Pink. It’s actually small enough to put in a purse, or use the small holster that comes with it and attach it to your belt.

TASER C2
TASER C2

Taser International has been making self defense products for 16 years, and provides TASER® devices for personal, military, and police applications. It uses the same technology as their M18 Tasers, in that the TASER C2 is a gun of sorts that uses a disposable, nitrogen propelled charge that shoots two metal darts that are attached to 15 feet of electrified wire.

When the darts make contact with their target, the device then shoots 50,000 volts of electricity through the wires into the darts for a 30 second cycle. The Taser works similar to a stun gun, because the voltage delivered similarly affects the sensory and motor functions of the nervous system.

The darts can penetrate up to two inches of clothing. The TASER C2 uses a slightly smaller version of the cartridges, so you can not interchange them between the TASER C2 and the TASER M18, our standard TASER® device.

The effects on humans are dramatic; just watch COPS on T.V. and you will see that they can take down the largest man in one or two seconds. While the TASER C2 only sends 50,000 volts, ½ the voltage of our lowest volt stun guns, the 100,000 Volt Stun Master, it’s the length of time that causes the effects.

One interesting feature is that it requires a background check before you can use it! The TASER C2 is shipped in an inactive state, and you have to go online to run the background check. If approved, they issue you a code to unlock the TASER C2. Also, every consumer Taser cartridge has some confetti in it that is coded to you, so if the Taser is used in an offensive or criminal situation, they will track you.

The TASER C2 has an easy to use safety, and is comfortably held in your hand. When the safety is on, it will not accidentally discharge. The TASER C2 offers the option of a built in laser, which I highly suggest you get, because if you don’t aim the device properly, one or none of the darts will hit the attacker, and it’ won’t do anything. With the laser, you know exactly where the darts will go. In case you miss, you can still use the device like a stun gun; just put it up to the attacker’s torso or hips, and pull the trigger. The gun will still transfer the voltage through the gun, into the attacker’s body.

The TASER C2 operates on a 30 second cycle when you pull the trigger using something called Shaped Pulse Technology. This is a sophisticated pulse wave that initially uses a high voltage leading edge to penetrate barriers such as clothing around the body followed by a series of lower voltage pulses that cause the neuromuscular system to become incapacitated. What this means is the punk you shoot will turn into a quivering pile of Jell-O. He will not be able to get up or move for a while.

When you pull the trigger, the TASER C2 generates a charge of 17 pulses of 50,000 volts per second (PPS) for 5 seconds, 12 PPS for 15 seconds, a ½ second break, 17 PPS for 1.5 seconds, 8 PPS for remaining 8 seconds. Your attacker will go down for the count, and you will have plenty of time to run away, while it is going through the cycle. The TASER C2 cartridges have a 10 year shelf life, and you can shoot up to 50 cartridges before you have to replace the lithium batteries.

The TASER C2 & TASER M18 devices can stop threats from up to 15 ft. (4.5 m). Or, if you miss, or there is more than one attacker, you can use the TASER® device as a contact stun gun – a powerful backup capability. When used in the field by law enforcement against dangerous suspects, the Taser technology offers the lowest injury rates of any force option.

However, using the TASER® device is not risk free and may cause injuries, primarily from falls or physical exertion. If you forget to turn off the safety, your attacker could overtake you and use it on you. The use of any TASER® device should not be undertaken lightly, however, when your life is in danger, you must Defend Thyself! Pick up your TASER C2 from our online store, and we will toss in a free holster with each purchase.
