Will Your Child Drown This Summer?

Posted By admin

Each year, almost 1,000 people drown in pool accidents. Most are untrained children stumble into the back yard pool, and are unable to get out. A great idea is to put a fence around your pool, though kids can jump a fence. You might want to consider a pool alarm to alert you with a loud sound when anything falls into the water.

We found some great free reports you can download from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission on Pool & Spa Safety.

A real simple pool alarm is the Pool Protector Pool Alarm. This simple device consists of a L-shaped plastic device that rests on the edge of the pool.

The Pool Protector Pool Alarm

One end is submerged a few inches, and there is a rod that is attached to a motion detector. It has a microprocessor controlled alarm system that will sound when motion is detected. It’s easy to set up with the press of a couple buttons.

After you install the Swimming Pool Alarm, it can’t be de-activated; it will always be watching your pool, 24/7, until you put Sleep Mode. That way, you can always know if a child or your pet fell into the pool.

If someone tries to steal the alarm, it will sound. The Swimming Pool Alarm includes a remote receiver which can be mounted inside, up to 200 feet from the from the alarm, and it has it’s own alarm. It comes with a 12 volt power supply, and the alarm takes 1 9-volt battery, which lasts about 1 year, and will alert you when the battery is low.

If you are looking for a simple and easy way to monitor your pool from inside or outside, find out more information on the Pool Protector Pool Alarm on our website.

Pool Alarms Prevent Accidental Drownings

Posted By admin

With summer almost here in Southern California, it’s time to start thinking about cooling off in the hot months. In the USA, over 900 children drown each year in swimming pools; don’t let your child be next.

Many people have a pool in their house, and many cities mandata a fence around the pool to prevent accidental deaths. However, kids are pretty clever and can climb over or get through a lot of fences. We found a small, yet effective pool alarm called the Pool Protector that has a motion detection feature.

The Swimming Pool Alarm

The swimming pool alarm is always on duty, 24/7, monitoring your pool; if anyone or thing fell in the pool, it would trigger a loud alarm that would alert you and 1/2 the neighborhood.

The Pool Protector pool alarm is super easy to use, you set it and forget it. It goes to sleep, until there is motion in the pool, then it wakes up and blasts out a loud, pulsating alarm. The Pool Protector pool alarm is not intended to be a lifeguard or to watch over children. It’s meant to be a back-up so a child does not fall into the pool while the nanny is yacking on the phone..

It will cover a pool of about 100 sq. feet, and if your pool is bigger, you should get two. It can be turned off while you swim, then put back on after. In 10 states – Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington – drowning surpasses all other causes of death to children age 14 and under.

Don’t let your children or grandchildren become a statistic, find out more information on the Pool Protector Pool Alarm on our website…
