When You’re Looking At The Intruders Gun, It’s Too Late

Posted By admin

This is a situation i hope you or I never find ourselves in;

Staying safe: Alarms, defense classes comfort local people

It’s been less than a month since three men charged into Brandi Frazier’s Brighton Park apartment and thrust a shotgun toward her face.

The East Carolina University freshman recently returned to her home, but she’s making some changes.

Frazier keeps her door locked and looks through her peephole before venturing out. She doesn’t stay out as late and leaves lights on after dark. And first on this week’s shopping list? Buying a wireless alarm that will stand watch from atop her door frame.

“I’m still afraid to sleep,” she said. “But I think it’ll help a little bit.”

It’s amazing that a little, cheap alarm like a door or window alarm could save your life by notifying you to any intruders, giving you time to grab your gun, TASER® device, or pepper spray & stun gun combination.

Now this women can sleep at night by putting up a little alarm like this one, scroll down the linked page to see it near the bottom:

Door Alarm

This little Magnetic Door/ Window Alarm is only $8 and works at home, apartment, or guest house. The Magnetic Door/ Window Alarm uses magnets to identify when the door opens to blast its 110 decible siren. The base of the alarm is bolted to door or window frame, the actuator is connected to the window or door. The alarm is activated by opening the door or window, when the magnets separate. This door/window alarm is great for any door or window, particularly those hard to protect sliding glass doors. It needs 3 lithium button cell batteries (included).

And for $10, Mace makes a tiny window alarm that will blast a 95DB alarm if anyone tries to break into any windows. The Mace Broken Window Alarm is down near the bottom of the link page also.

Mace Window Alarm

And finally, the Mace Mace™ Motion Alert is a motion sensor that uses a passive infrared system that blankets a room with an invisible field that will detect motion in any selected area. Just set the alarm when you go to bed or leave your place. As soon as motion is detected, it will blast a loud 120DB alarm that will wake the dead!

Mace Motion Alert

The Mace™ Motion Alert easily mounts near any entry area or door, and is battery operated, eliminating the need for wiring. The Mace™ Motion Alert can be coded with a personal security code and you can set it up to sound a two-tone entry chime, instead of the alarm sound, so this is a great unit to mount in your business that will tell you when someone comes in the front, or back door! You will never be surprised by intruders like this poor women.

Visit our website if you want more information on the range of Home Protection Alarms that are available. They cost no more than a meal, fast or sit-down, and will give you the few seconds you need to be a survivor instead of a victim!

What Is The CyberEye ECO?

Posted By admin

If you need to monitor your home or business from burglars or fire, you can install an expensive alarm system, though there would be monthly fees of about $35, and they don’t offer automatic fire detection. A great product that is designed to protect your home from intruders and fire, and has no monthly fees, is the CyberEye ECO.

CyberEye ECO

The CyberEye ECO is a tiny white device about 3 x 2 inches that monitors your property. It is small and discrete and can be set in an out of the way place to watch over your house when you go to work, or your office or business when you go home. It is an autodialer that monitors your property 24/7/365. An autodialer is something that dials a pre-programmed number when something happens.

The CyberEye ECO works in three ways:

  • Motion detector to detect movement
  • Thermal detector to detect fire
  • Microphone to listen to the surrounding area

The motion detector will detect any movement up to about 15 feet or 5 meters from the front of the device. It has a 90 degree field of view, and can be adjusted up or down to point at what you want it to “see.”

There is a thermal detector that will detect heat from a fire. The CyberEye ECO is smart enough to know to call a different number if it is a fire or an intruder.

When motion or heat is detected, the CyberEye ECO has an internal auto dialer that will call up to five pre-programmed phone numbers, and let you know with one of two pre-recorded messages that there is an intruder in your home or office, or there is a fire and give you time to call the police or fire department, possibly saving your property or house.

You can program the first two numbers to call your and your spouses cell phone, call three can be sent to call a different number depending on the emergency. If it detects heat, it calls the fire department, the police if an intruder, and you can hook up sensors that can even call the gas company if it smells gas.

The CyberEye ECO also has a microphone and speaker, allowing you to monitor the room and person who is there, as well as the ability for two-way communication. It will allow you to listen to what is going on, and actually talk to who is there! You can tell them you called 911, and police are on their way.

It hooks up easy to your phone line, and runs off of two AA batteries that last up to six months. It connects directly to the phone line, and has an extra jack to hook up an external phone.

If you want a low cost system that constantly scans your property for intruders or fire, you can find out more information on the CyberEye ECO on our website.

Make My Day, Punk

Posted By admin

From the Miami News-Record of November 2, 2007
Man cleared in shooting

Oklahoma’s “Make My Day” law was the deciding factor in the fate of a Colcord man who fatally shot a 17-year-old this summer, according to District Attorney Eddie Wyant.

(Note, it’s good to see that self-defense is still a viable option in some parts of the country…)

Jack Doughty, 62, stood accused of shooting David Gudde in the early morning hours of July 1.

According to police reports, Doughty operated a fireworks stand out of his Delaware County home in June and early July. Doughty told authorities that he was awakened around 4 a.m. on July 1, by what he believed to be intruders.

Gudde and 18-year-old Lance Stick were reportedly in Doughty’s home and were opening an inside door when Doughty fired a shot in the direction of the door with a .22 caliber rifle.

Doughty told investigators that he chased the intruders as they ran outside, firing two more shots to “alert neighbors”.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Gudde lying on the ground outside Doughty’s home.

An Oklahoma law passed in 1988, protects residents from being prosecuted for using deadly force against suspected threats to themselves in their homes and on their properties.

After investigating the incident, Wyant said he will not file charges against Doughty because is actions were in accordance to the “Make My Day” law.

“With the number of residential burglaries, I am really surprised more people don’t get shot for breaking into people’s houses with this law on the book,” Wyant said. “I hope people realize the risk they put themselves into when they unlawfully enter someone’s house.”

Stick was charged July 30, with first-degree burglary and is currently in Delaware County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

Last year, legislators passed a law in accordance with the “Make My Day” law. The “Stand My Ground” law protects people from prosecution if they use deadly force in other locations, such as their vehicle, when they reasonably feel their life is in danger.

Now if the rest of the country would adopt such laws. Until then, use whatever force is necessary, be it pepper spray, stun gun, TASER C2, SWAT-C8 Pava launcher, or a gun.

A great way to monitor your home, vacation home, or office when you are not there, is to have a motion activated auto dialer call you when movement is detected. There are several available for less than $1oo, and one of the most simplest is the HomeSafe Auto Dialer With Security/Safety Alarm.

This is a neat product that uses Infared Sensors to monitor an area, and will dial your phone number if someone enters. The HomeSafe Auto Dialer will also sound a very loud alarm to let the neighbors know something is going on.

For people on a budget, or living in an apartment, or just looking for an inexpensive alarm for a vacation home or office, the HomeSafe Auto Dialer Alarm is a great choice.

AutoDialer With Alarm

I suggest you personally visit your neighbors and introduce yourself, then tell them that if they watch your back, you will watch theirs. Exchange phone numbers, and if you are called by the HomeSafe Auto Dialer, immediatly call your neighbors and tell them to watch out for someone exiting your home. Then, you might get a license plate from the punk to go after and get them thrown in jail.
